Your site's internal users make up your Kaseya Quote Manager team. When you invite a staff user to join your team, you assign them to a role and configure appropriate permissions for their functions.

This article describes the four types of user roles and the permissions granted to each type, some of which are customizable.

To learn how to add users to your team, reset user passwords, deactivate users who are no longer part of your organization, or reactivate users, proceed to Creating and managing staff accounts.

User roles and permissions

Roles

Roles determine the type of access a user has to function within Kaseya Quote Manager. The following table describes the four roles to choose from.

Role Use for

Admin

Business owners and admin staff

Standard

Staff who need full access but don't need to update business settings

Sales

Staff who quote and sell

Purchasing

Staff who need to manage purchase orders

Permissions

The following table lists the default functions to which users have access in each role. Options marked with an asterisk (*) are access levels you can customize.

Visibility controls the level of access to information within those functions, where applicable. The two visibility levels are: Entire company and Owner only.

EXAMPLE  A Sales user with the Owner only visibility setting can only see quotes and sales to which they are assigned. With the Entire company setting selected, the user can see all quotes and sales across the organization.

Team notifications

You may benefit from internal users in any of these roles receiving notifications when a sales order requires approval or an organization views a quote. To learn how to configure team email notifications, refer to Enabling email notifications.

For in-product notifications, Kaseya Quote Manager internal users with the Owner only visibility level will only see notifications related to quotes and purchase orders to which they are assigned. Refer to Viewing in-product notifications.
